Chess

Just finished watching Hikaru Nakamura win the 2022 FIDE World Fischer Random Champion a few days ago. Congrats to him!

I read that Bobby Fischer invented Fischer Random. To me, it breaks away from Classical chess and the routine openings and forces you to think more in random situations. You definitely have to adapt and have increased awareness. If your pieces always work in harmony to lead to winning, then it doesn’t matter how they are arranged.

Now, Hikaru is currently dominating at the 2022 Chess.com Global Championship Finals at the moment. He is looking good to advance in the Semifinals.

I’ve always been interested in Chess. I haven’t really had training except from learning and playing against my Father when he was alive. I did check out Chess.com and have learned a few things. I haven’t been active lately, but might get back into it. Hikaru is definitely inspiring as he is a well-rounded Chess player and Champion whether it’s Blitz, Classical, etc.
